I am speechless about how disheartening this is – also I just learned they are applying a funding cut of $15 million to the Trillium Foundation which funds a lot of environmental  initiatives.

Kudos to everyone who has worked so hard on fighting Bill 66 – I just really hope it has an effect…that’s the clincher…how to get a message heard/to sink in - by a group that doesn’t want to hear it.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any more absurd with the gutting of the Green Energy Act, the cancellation of Cap & Trade, Bill 66, and last week’s brutal proposed changes to the Growth Plan, late today the Ford government announced a review of the Endangered Species Act:

Of course the proposal is to weaken the existing legislation and reduce onerous obligations on business.  Minister Rod Phillips states he is seeking a more balanced approach to boost the environment and the economy, streamline approval processes, and meet “multiple objectives”.
