[All] Region of Waterloo Climate Adaptation Plan

Hi all,

I wanted to pass on some light summer reading in case anyone is interested
to provide comments on the Region of Waterloo's draft Climate Adaptation
Plan. I've copied and pasted the email from Regional staff below:

We are seeking feedback on the draft Plan from previously-engaged
stakeholders and the broader public, and will also present the draft Plan
to Area Municipal Councils. *We are looking for feedback until October 7*,
after which time we will finalize the CCA Plan for Regional Council’s
approval by November 5. The draft Plan documents include:

·        An 11-page Draft Plan Overview

·        The full draft Community Climate Adaptation Plan

(PDF) – three main sections: the Plan Overview as an executive summary;
Part 1 which covers context details, the plan development process, and
implementation details (pages 39-40); and Part 2 which covers the detailed
adaptation actions.

On the whole I think it is a good document, although I think the language
could be stronger and the actions more explicit in some areas. Full
