[All] Ford Government Continues Cuts to Conservation Authorities

Hi GREN folks,

Attached below is a letter sent late Friday from Jeff Yurek, Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks to Conservation Authorities across the province “re-focusing their efforts” and scaling back their activities to only the delivery of programs and services related to their core mandate.

It is unfortunate to see the Doug Ford government continuing to cut programs, services, and organizations highly valued by Ontarians - particularly our environmental programs and our Conservation Authority activities which will be even needed more than ever in an era of unprecedented climate change.

We’ll have to see what we can try to do to support the Grand River Conservation Authority and raise public awareness of the ongoing devastation being caused by Doug Ford.  Please feel free to share this letter widely.
