[All] Fwd: Ministerial Appeal Response on Paris Gravel Pit

Sadly, Ontario's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change has turned down the appeal by our friends in the Paris area to require better protection for the groundwater in their area from the operation of a gravel pit. The Concerned Citizens of Brant's long struggle on this issue has resulted in some improvements but still does not adequately address threats from toxics in the soils, especially atrazine. 

Not only are these dedicated citizens confronted with dealing with their major disappointment on this matter. In addition, they remain saddled with a substantial debt as a result of hiring experts to help argue their case before the Environmental Review Tribunal. CCOB continues to make valiant efforts to raise money to pay off their debt. I urge you to make a contribution to help them pay off that debt.
