----------------------------------
Date & Time: Monday June 5 from 7:15 - 9:15.
Location: Christian Science Sunday School at 64 Water Street North, Kitchener. Enter at the Francis Street door of the church and go down to the Sunday School. It is one block from King St so there is good access to public transit. There is a small parking area around the church plus on-street parking on Francis and Water Streets.
Agenda:
• Textiles: Sabine Weber will do a presentation on textiles waste management/avoidance. Over 85% of used textiles are currently dumped into landfills. These wastes make up between 5 and 10% of the wastes in landfills in Canada. After a presentation from Sabine, we will strategize with her on what we could do in our area to improve this situation. (45 - 60 minutes)
Wellington Water Watchers: They will talk with us about their work, successes, plans for the future and how we can help. See link to see award that they recently received.
