In case you were interested, I went to this event to hear Dianne Saxe last Wed. and a link to her presentation on climate change and cap and trade is included.

Sustainable Waterloo Region does great workshops that I’d highly recommend.

Dianne Saxe, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, made it quite clear that there is no simple band-aid solution to addressing climate change at the provincial level. However, Ontario has done a lot to address its impacts on the environment through coal power plant closures, the implementation of a cap and trade system, the Climate Change Action Plan, and much more.

We hope that yesterday’s presentation inspired you to apply these learnings to both your own life and to your organization, while providing a better understanding of the work Ontario has put towards both mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
