Hello everyone
My name is Louisette Lanteigne and I was a written commentor of the Enbridge Line 10 hearing process.

If you go to page 129 of the decision you will see I raised concerns specific to the fact that no critical habitat mapping for Jefferson Salamanders has been established for this project. I have a photo in the attachment of that page to save you time.
I'd like to state clearly that this ruling is unreasonable because it is based on PREDICTIONS that there will be little to no impact to the endangered species without substantiated information to actually verify where these animals are located. Simply bring in heavy equipment can compress and kill specimens. Also in drilling under wetlands will most likely alter the hydrogeology of the entire habitat area. 
Jefferson Salamanders are an endangered species protected federally by the Species At Risk Act. In the Province they are also protected by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act and the Endangered Species Act.  In Ontario we have a no net loss to wetland policy in place as well. 
The verdict as present by the NEB in my view is non compliant to all these policies. 
Other issues can also be viewed in the attachments. I witnessed the two hearings in Hamilton in October and there is no doubt in my mind we are dealing with a captured regulator who lacks regard for reasonable engineering practices.
