Subject: Ontario Power Generation's DGR report is unreasonable

Dear Hon. Prime Minster, National Chief Bellegarde et al.

Re: Lake Huron Nuclear Deep Geological Repository

In 2012 a joint review by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency began regarding plans for a Deep Geological Repository Project to bury nuclear
waste beside Lake Huron. Over 92,000 people signed petitions against it.

Over 180 municipal resolutions passed, representing 22 million people in Canada & US demanding stop of Lake Huron nuclear repository.

On Dec. 2016 Ontario Power Generation released a study saying “There is little interest among the general public regarding the DGR project,” the report states. “Ontarians are not looking for
information on nuclear-waste disposal in large volumes. This topic is not a popular one nor is it generating large volumes of curiosity.”

If you view pages 72-75 of the report you will find that the OPG report references social media feed trends on twitter and Google without referencing the people who signed petitions. Their data fails to mention the
many US and Canadian municipal resolutions passed completely negating the views of Concerned Citizens who followed the proper political protocols. I include a PDF of the pages I am referring to in the attachments.

This lack of non-disclosure is in my view, unreasonable, unethical and possibly fraudulent. This attempts to mislead readers into believing there is no public interest when the public records show clear and overwhelming
evidence to support the rejection of the Deep Nuclear Repository Project. Yours Sincerely,
