Hi folks
I took a quick look at the City of Kitchener website and found some updates in regards to development/planning & timing of upcoming reports regarding Hidden Valley.
Hidden Valley Crescent Neighborhood ParkHidden Valley Crescent Park is currently being designed on the South/East end of Hidden Valley Drive. The area is currently naturalized but there are plans to turn it into an urban park. To review information on this visit the City of Kitchener website here: http://www.kitchener.ca/en/livinginkitchener/hidden-valley-crescent-neighbourhood-park.asp
The final plan of design was due this December with construction taking place in Spring/Summer of 2017. The concerns I have are the following:1. Are there any ongoing EA's taking place in the area? The construction may create a disturbance for area sensitive species. 2. Would this increase noise/traffic/light pollution or human encroachment in the area? If so how can we mitigate the risks? 3. Would this damage possible habitats? If so how can we mitigate the risks? 4. Is this corridor being used to facilitate infrastructure?
