| Hi Louisette ,
On Saturday September 16, our Executive Director Tim Gray will be joining our friends at the Hold the Line event in St. Jacobs. Will you be there too?

Hold The Line is a cycling and folk music festival to celebrate the Region of Waterloo's Countryside Line. The Line protects the cultural, economic, and environmental heritage of our rural lands from the pressures of urban sprawl. It makes sure we grow up instead of out and it’s been working. But making the region’s countryside part of the Ontario’s renowned Greenbelt will give these important rural lands the added protection they deserve.

You can learn more about Hold the Line here: www.holdthelinewr.org.

If you're planning to attend, please say hi to my friendly Environmental Defence colleagues! We will be there sharing information about our work to create livable communities and to protect Ontario's precious farmland and natural areas.

Yours in protecting our land,

Erin Shapero
Senior Program Manager, Greenbelt & Smart Growth
