[All] Expert report fines Canadian Environmental Assessments inadequate

Fantastic report cracks down on the bad quality of current environmental review processes and flags systematic racism in public processes against First Nation's people using unreasonably short deadlines. 
I witnessed the same thing re: National Energy Board with Enbridge Line 9, Line 10 & Supreme Court re: Clyde River. The First Nations and Inuit communities are given massive documents and are allocated with a month or less to give final comment on major projects. In the case of Clyde River, they spoke Innu but no resources were provided for them to secure a translator or solicitor to help them out. It is a kangaroo court process. This report indicates that a federal panel agrees these are unreasonable practices. 
This seems a good sign for the Line 9 hearing. Decision still pending but I pray we will win that Supreme Court hearing. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/environmental-assessment-expert-panel-1.4056423
