I will relay the following of what I know on the issue of Grassy Narrows and the dumping of toxins into the English-Wabigoon River.

The Dryden pulp mill was owned by British Reed Paper Company's project. The dumping of wastes was contaminating the English-Wabigoon River.   The project to award a licence for a second mill was supported by the Bill Davis government in 1977-1978. He was Ontario's Premier. Data was leaked and the OPP were trying to find the source. My friend's office was broken into at the University of Waterloo and only thing taken were the documents specific to this case.As it turns out the data was taken by a hired private investigator of Reed. There were financial dealings, money laundered between the manager of Dryden Mill and Lord Rider and the CEO of Reed.The money went through a bank acting as a  tax haven on the island of Jersey. The laundering of funds was described as "sloppy". WPIRG: Waterloo Public Interest Research Group published a 20 page investigative article titled "Quicksilver and Slow Death" about the mercury poisoning.

I have personal correspondences to support the above information. 
The province of Ontario was advised by the Environment Minister in 1984 to take action on Grassy Narrows remediation efforts but the recommendations were ignored.  https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2016/07/04/province-ignored-ministers-1984-recommendation-to-clean-up-mercury-in-river-near-grassy-narrows-star-investigation.html As a Christian Mi'kmaq Metis woman, and long time advocate for source water protection,  I delivered water from Waterloo Region for a ceremony outside Queen's Park advocating for the protection of our waters. I spoke with the people of Grassy Narrows and the White Dog reserve and from that point on I've been working to help them.  A prayer bundle was given to me which I keep as a reminder to help do my part to help fulfill the prayers of the Grassy Narrows people.  In good faith I extend the message of this prayer bundle to you to help save these people and their water supply.
I have found an strange pattern in the media showing a direct link between the issues of Grassy Narrows and the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline. It seems a bizarre connection but I think you will see it in these 3 points: 
1. The topic of Grassy Narrows never been resolved for decades yet the timing of major media releases seems to overlap critical moments regarding the Northern Gateway pipeline in a manner that is oddly strategic.
The issue of Grassy Narrows, intended or not, serves to constantly remind Canadians how our government ignores, discriminates and disregards the health and welfare of the Grassy Narrows people. When a major news story regarding Norther Gateway happens, the Grassy issue resurfaces to cast a pall. In my view, Grassy Narrows is being used as a media/psychological manipulation played like a trump card every time the powers that be want to break our spirit or discourage us as Native people.  It may be the media, it may be the government or both.  It is beyond me to understand why they continually do this.  It would seem reasonable to assume that the Government of Canada uses discretionary powers when it comes to announcing major decisions but to issue both the Northern Gateway approval and the Grassy Narrows Logging permit the day before Christmas Eve seems unreasonable and clearly systematic. I would like this issue to be investigated further to see how these two issues connect.  
The dates and times are beyond simple co-incidents. These are just three quick examples. How long has this been happening and who is doing this? 
I want justice for the people of Grassy Narrows. They deserve compensation, remediation and closure.
I want an investigation to see why these two issues are tightly connected. Who is orchestrating this?
I share this email in good faith with the UN and the WTO as well as AFN National Chief Perry Bellegarde  to assure compliance with Treaty laws,  the principals of UNDRIP and WTO laws for both Environment and Indigenous Rights.
