June 15  Webonair: Waterloo Biosolid strategy 6:30-7:30pm  & June 16 12pm - 1pm for more info visit http://www.regionofwaterloo.ca/en/aboutTheEnvironment/Bio-Solids.asp* Lulu Note: I spoke with Regional officials at the Ecofest last Saturday and they are having a really hard time earning public support for the plan. Folks are worried about smells, environmental impacts, air and water quality issues and where facilities would be placed but we cannot remain status quo because growth is adding the population of Kitchener to our Region and the waste will either head to fields or landfills putting the Grand River and Lake Erie at risk.  We need folks to take action but we need the public informed and engaged. Anything we can do to help spread the world and awareness on this issue would really help.
