[All] Expansion of Greenbelt to Waterloo Region

Kevin T made a presentation to Regional Council this week on potential expansion of the Greenbelt to Waterloo Region. See his presentation in two files on the GREN website at http://gren.ca/projects/ <http://gren.ca/projects/>. Thanks to Kevin and Deb S and Deaun M who helped him prepare the presentation.

As Kevin says in his presentation: "We can wait to see if Waterloo happens to be included in any proposed amendments expected [from the provincial government] this Spring, or we can reach out to the province now, and work proactively to ensure that we are part of the discussions, part of formulating the plan, and potentially included in the amendments." 

We urge you to speak to MPPs and your councillors to push for inclusion of major sections of Waterloo Region and other parts of the Grand River watershed in an expanded Greenbelt. Kevin's presentation on our site gives you the information you need to make those arguments.
