Hi folks!

For those interested in sending written comments or presenting in regards to Darlington Nuclear Plant licence extension, tomorrow is the final deadline for applicants. For further info visit here: http://www.nuclearsafety.gc.ca/eng/the-commission/hearings/participate/index.cfm
There is also an online panel discussion regarding Darlington happening on Sept. 23rd that folks can participate in being hosted by Greenpeace. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/534747736673049/
On Thursday September 24, Temara Brown and I will be heading down to Queen's Park to observe the Senate committee's hearings regarding Bill 52, the Anti-Slapp legislation. Temara will be presenting at 3:30. I'm scheduled to present on October 1st at 3:15. Hopefully if things go well we'll see the new law passed before the end of the year. 
With just 26 days left before the vote, the campaigns are well underway. Parties will need scrutineers to assist with visiting polling stations to make sure the election process is happening fairly. If folks have time to spare election day, feel free to contact the party of your choice and volunteer as scrutineer.
