[All] Environmental Election Forum CANCELLED

We have decided to cancel the environmental election forum planned for Thursday. The expected turn out by candidates was abysmally low. Only a total of 6 candidates for all five ridings combined committed to come. We also just found out that a number of the Green candidates and supporters will be in Guelph for a townhall with Elizabeth  May and Gord Miller that evening.

We do not want to put on an event that could be embarrassing for the environmental community because of poor turnout by candidates. Also we do not want to waste your evening by your turning out with the expectation of an opportunity to chat with candidates when so few were coming.

If you know of any people planning to attend, please inform them that it is cancelled.

Thanks to Susan for all the effort she put into this. As always, her effort was excellent and valiant. She made reminders, including phone calls to candidates, to try to get them out.

Enjoy any desserts that you have already made for the event. 

Once the election is over, we will plan our fall meeting of GREN. I'll be in touch with you about that.
