John thank you so much for this and thank all the folks with GREN, REEP, WWF and other agencies for being a part of these concepts in revolutionizing the movement to work with and support natural infrastructure solutions. Economically, ecologically and ethically it makes so much more sense.
There is such beauty when great engineering works in sync with nature and affordability and that is a vision that people want and need to see today.  This is absolutely beautiful.

I thought you might be interested in two videos that have just been released by a project that I am managing. There are two there that have basically the same content - the difference is in length. The shorter one (3.5 minutes) we will use for social media, etc. The longer one (5 minutes) will be used for meetings, etc. To view them, go to our website at  http://glc.org/projects/water-resources/greater-lakes/greater-lakes-media/. They are the top two items on that page.
Our binational project is called "Greater Lakes: Reconnecting the Great Lakes Water Cycle. Here is a synopsis of our project's purpose and vision:
"Across the Great Lakes, water resource systems in urban areas have been heavily altered by human development. Traditional engineering methods use pipes and concrete to separate and manage stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water, leaving ecosystems disconnected and fragmented in the process. But forward-thinking citizen advocates, conservationists and government officials are blazing a new path—one that is turning the dominant water management paradigm on its head. A new vision is emerging; one in which cities move from fragmentation to integration, treating water as a single, holistic resource. This approach can restore urban ecosystems while also saving money for cash-strapped municipalities. The Greater Lakes project is contributing to that effort to bring municipalities together to manage water resources in a holistic manner that benefits everyone."
