[All] Hydro One at city council ...

Hi All -

Tonight I'll be trying to get the Hydro One issue added to the end of
Kitchener council's agenda.  (The clerk told me it's "not in the city's
purview", so all he could do was fwd my request to the mayor.)

As you know from environmental work, these jurisdictional boundaries can be
exasperating.  If Hydro One were no longer in public hands, it seems to me
this would have a BIG impact on Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro and all our other
small utilities.  Such as higher costs + pressure to privatize them too.
And it could make it harder to introduce green and locally-sourced
locally-sourced power in the future.

So far 7 cities and 14 twps & counties have passed a resolution asking Ont
not to proceed with this privatization.  Wish me luck.
