Hi everybody:

It looks like ALUS (Alternative Land Use Services) is having a tour of 4
farms on August 26th in Norfolk County by Lake Erie.  It is always an
interesting event, and a nice way to spend the day.  If you haven't been
before, check out their website to see the good work they're doing to
preserve topsoil, to re-establish wetlands and prairies grasses on marginal
farm land, and to introduce progressive farming techniques that help
protect watercourses and conserve pollinators:  *www.ALUS.ca*

It looks like the registration and lunch will be held at the Burning Kiln
Winery this year.  The tour is usually free, and the lunch is not very
expensive.  More information to follow.
