[All] ALUS Norfolk Environmental Stewardship Tour, August 26, 2015

Hi all:

Here is more information on the ALUS tour on August 26th.  It's very
worthwhile seeing.

You can always finish up your day by visiting some of the communities in
the area like Port Dover; a commercial fishing village/tourist attraction
that has a number of beach shops and restaurants.  They also have live
theatre at the Lighthouse, if you're interested:
http://lighthousetheatre.com/summer-season-shows/.  The favourite spots for
many visitors are the older establishments like the Arbor for a footlong
hotdog, or the Erie Beach Hotel for perch and celery bread.  There are
healthier choices at a variety of places as well.

The food for the ALUS lunch is being catered by David's ($10.00 donation is
suggested), a more upscale restaurant that sits over the cliffs just east
of Port Dover where weddings are often held.  They have a little martini
bar upstairs that is casual dress during the day that I like to go to after
the Erie Beach.  The view from the bar is similar to what you might see off
the back of a cruise ship; not much to see at night but you can see the
U.S. on a clear day.  You might want to check if there is a wedding there

It looks like ALUS will have limited seating on the tour, so the earlier
the better if you're thinking of going.
