Hi folks
Lots have happened today.
Climate Action in Manitoba! Manitoba just announced it will cut emissions by 1/3 by 2030 from 2005 level and put cap on emissions and implement cap & trade

Manitoba will also partner with the City of Winnipeg to introduce curbside composting, electrify public transportation and expand active transportation.
Other initiatives include:
expanding on nationally recognized green building standards;
making government operations carbon neutral;
investing in crucial infrastructure, from flood mitigation to adaptable transportation, in remote communities; and
working with indigenous partners to honour traditional ecological knowledge.

Enbridge updates
Re: Line 9: Oil is flowing in Line 9 to Montreal as confirmed by Enbridge today. http://business.financialpost.com/news/energy/oil-begins-to-flow-through-line-9-today-as-enbridge-inc-hikes-dividend-releases-outlook?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Enbridge's official site states the flow is not at the full rate. Won't be until 2016. In the mean time, Enbridge is trying to weasle out of doing ground inspections of Line 9 citing risks such as: Hunters, farm pesticides and mosquitoes. (See attachments for their actual written concerns.)
The Chippewas of the Thames court case is still a potential game changer along with the ever falling price of oil.
Re: Line 5Wayne County Michigan Commission passed a resolution to close Enbridge Line 5 under the Straights of Mackinac. (resolution wording is in the attachments.)
Re: Northern GatewayEnbridge states their "Financial Decision" on Northern Gateway will be made in the latter half of 2016.

Ecojustice vs. Climate Deniers
Ecojustice filed the complaint with the Competitions Bureau on behalf of Stephen Lewis, the former Canadian Ambassador to the UN and chair of the 1988 World Conference on the Changing Atmosphere; Tzeporah Berman, author and adjunct professor at York University; and Thomas Duck, an atmospheric scientist at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Other complainants are David Schindler, the Killam Memorial professor of ecology at the University of Alberta; and Danny Harvey, an University of Toronto professor and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change lead author.
The complaint cites The Friends of Science, The International Climate Science Coalition, and the Heartland Institute for misleading billboard advertisements, website representations and a poster made available as a free download on a website. Full story here:
