Hi folks!
Some interesting reports were released today. Here's the breakdown.
The Atlas of Mortalities and Economic Losses from Weather Climate and Water Extremes by the World Meteorological Organization.
Quick Highlights:
* Natural disasters are occurring nearly 5 x's as often as they were in the 1970s.
* Mortalities from climate changes vary depending on area. For Africa: drought. Asia: Storms. North/South America: Floods. Europe: Heat waves.
* Flood and heat are the main ones killing more people.
* Top economic losses from climate change: for Africa, Asia, Europe & South America: floods.
* Top economic losses for North America: Storms.
* From 1970–2012 Europe alone experienced 1,352 reported disasters leading to 149,959 deaths and loss of US$ 375.7 billion,
* Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was the most costly disaster on record, resulting in US$ 146.9 billion in losses.
* From 1970-2012, 8,835 weather/food/climate events resulted in loss of 1.94 million lives and cost US$ 2.4 trillion.

In another report, Canadian Natural Resources did a causality report for the endless bitumen spill happening still in Primerose Alberta.
Canadian Natural Resources, Ltd. ADMITS endless oil spill at Primerose may be caused by high pressure steaming. ( aka Fracking) Their report states that steaming could have fractured the cap rock causing 4 bitumen leaks at its Primerose site in Cold Lake, Alberta. To view the entire report visit here:
