[All] Waterloo Council Delays Costco to Address Community Concerns!

Apparently Kevin worked closely with them to come up with 20 other sites in
the region - all of them in the 3 cities.  Apparently the Region's official
plan wouldn't allow Costco anywhere in the townships.  WHY?  Out on the 7 &
8 somewhere would have been a sensible place!

HiI said in my speech that it can't be done in Waterloo because we have no
major highways.  Any proposed locations in Wloo would cause irremediable
congestion AND encroach on areas that need protection (west side ESLs or
Woolwich cultural heritage).  Karen Scian smiled indulgently at me as I
said that free interchange with the townships is the air we breathe,
essential to who we are.  I guess nobody thinks that way any more.
