In our ill-conceived ideological/economic/accounting system, price trumps the survival of Civilization and the World Ecosystem. Does allowing this situation to develop — both cause & results — suggest that Humanity is worthy of the gift of Life?

U.S. States Turn Against Clean Energy as Gas Prices Drops
According to researchers backed by the U.S. Energy Department, sixteen of the 29 states with renewable portfolio are considering measures that would reduce the need for solar and wind power after a plunge in natural gas prices caused by technology that hiked-up supply. North Carolina may be the first to move, followed by Colorado and Connecticut.  This development is certainly bad news for the clean energy sector as it directly threatens sales from wind-turbine and solar PV makers. U.S. investment in renewable power and energy efficiency has already dropped 54 percent as government support waned last year.
