Dear Mr. Neil E. Taylor:

I  have advised you in previous responses, that all River Road Extension
Class EA Study information will  be provided on request, as the Region's
study progresses to the point where the information is available in a
sufficiently complete form.   The Region's Project Team is currently
preparing documentation in support of a Public Input Meeting,  for
presentation of the project Team's Preferred Design Concept, which is
currently planned for 7:00 p.m. December 3, 2013, at Council Chambers, 150
Frederick Street, Kitchener.

In response to the request of October 28, 2013, which I have copied below, I
have attached a copy of the current estimated cost, of Design, Construction,
and other costs for the project.  It provides for comparison an estimate of
the cost for the Project Team's Preferred Design Concept 5 and the
previously studied Alternative Design Concept 4C. The current estimated cost
for Alternative Design Concept 5, including engineering, property,
contingencies = $72M.

In addition to those costs, historical cost for South Kitchener
Transportation Corridor Study (SKTCS) and Class EA  for the period from 2004
to2012  were $1.7M including consultants, study expenses and regional staff
charges

The additional estimate for 2013 and 2014, to complete the Class EA only is
$800K

We are preparing to make additional information available to you.
