[All] West Side Lands update

Hi folks

West Side Lands Update: Houses along Columbia Forest Turn Around were FLOODED as a result of land augmentations in the West Side Lands with some property damages along the back yards of residents.

The large storm water management pond had to be redesigned and as they drained the pond they basically took the water and dumped it in Clair Creek untreated, unfiltered. The temperature change alone could have killed fish.

This word comes to be by way of a resident along the area who used to work at the City of London managing sewer services. We spoke of this last night. His house backs on to Vernal Pond 12 area. 

He tried to file a complaint with city and region, basically told at both ends it wasn't their problem and then was sent to the GRCA.

The GRCA must authorize any complaints going to the Fisheries Department but if the finger points back at themselves, they tend not to do that. This is based on my personal history with them.

I've already voiced numerous non compliance to the RCMP, the MNR, the MOE, City and Regional Staff and the Province no avail in the past so I haven't been monitoring. It's too depressing. 

Apparently one of the homes under construction on site had structural issues as well and had to be re-built.
