Bee Death from Pesticides CONFIRMED by PMRA

Wilmont Line: Waterloo knew of intent to pave
KW record reports that the City of Waterloo knew about the intent to tar and chip Wilmot Line prior to it taking place. There have been handshake agreements on it for years.

KW saw Wild Weather in September. 

In September About 92 mm of the month's 98 mm fell in a single 24 hour period. The alarming  graph of this is posted at the UW Weather page at: http://weather.uwaterloo.ca/

Waterloo Region Climate Change Action Plan
Waterloo Region's first-ever community action plan on climate change (including a GHG reduction target) is being considered for endorsement by City and Regional Councils in November and December of this year. The 71 page doc can be downloaded at

The proposal comes from recommendations of ClimateActionWR collaboration led by REEP Green Solutions, the Region of Waterloo, and Sustainable Waterloo Region.

    * Cambridge City Council, Monday, November 4th, 7:00pm
    * Kitchener Council, Monday, November 18th, 7:00pm

Public Consultation on Planning and OMB
A consultation workshop on land use planning and appeals is scheduled in Kitchener-Waterloo on Thursday, November 14th. You can also provide your comments online, by email, or by mail. You can find more information or register to attend the session through the Ministry Website at this link:
