[All] Upcoming Event March 25 on preserving farmland

Hello GREN All -

I hope you all just saw Lulu's letter on the land grabs that are afoot in
Ontario.

At GREN's joint mtg in Paris in Feb with citizens of Brant and Oxford
Counties, I met some of the folks who are resisting Walton Int'l buy-ups of
local land along their greenbelt.

I've invited them to come and speak at a public mtg held by KAIROS Grand
River on March 25.  Joining them will be a PhD student who works with Prof
Jennifer Clapp (author of the excellent book "Food" which came out just
over a year ago).  I hope it will make for an eye-opening discussion.

LEARN about threats to global food security, including corporate buy-ups of
farmland around the world and here in Ontario.  And what citizen activists
are doing about it.
