[All] Update re: Oxford County mega dump from CELA

Hi folks

Walker Industries’ draft plans for its proposed Southwestern Landfill in Oxford County have been weighed and found grossly wanting by the 
Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA), retained as legal counsel for Oxford People Against the Landfill (OPAL) Alliance.

“Therefore, on behalf of the OPAL Alliance, we hereby request that the proponent immediately withdraw the draft TOR, discontinue the proposed EA process, and permanently abandon the ill-conceived proposal to establish a landfill at the Carmeuse Lime (Canada) quarry site.”
