Supporter,
The battle (vs Nelson Aggregate) may be won, but  the fight to protect our precious Mt Nemo continues - from the  Mid-Penninsula Highway, Line 9 Reversal, Burlington Airpark and a possible new  quarry application.  Fights cost money - on top of which we still  have $12,000 owing to those experts whose testimony and arguments  were crucial to the Joint Board win.  We won a long battle, but the  war is still being fought by dedicated PERL  volunteers.
We very much appreciate those of you who have contributed to PERL in the  past through our various fundraising activities: we hope we can appeal to  you once again.

You may not live in the area,  however if you do, or if you are visiting ........ if you have anything saleable which you could donate to  the sale it would be much appreciated - particularly larger items such as  small furniture, tools, garden equipment, antiques, etc. - but everything  will be welcome.  Please drop items off at 4495 Guelph Line between 3.00  pm and 9.00 pm on Friday, August 9.   And, of course, drop by on Saturday August  10 to pick up that special something!
However, we also hope that you will consider making a cash  donation.  If you can, and if you need a tax receipt, please make your  cheque payable to Environmental Defence with "For PERL" written on the note  line.  Otherwise make it payable to PERL.  Please send  it to PERL, Box 10011, Brant Hills Postal Outlet, Burlington ON L7P 0A4 -  or bring it to the garage sale.
