[All] Kissing Bridge Quarry pit now cancelled!

Hey Kim and Everyone,

I find a meeting very concerning!

The Hunder Pit is going to the OMB Sept. 3rd but the Jigs Hollow Pit is
going ahead. The Township elected to mediate it  which prevents any public
input and despite our many concerns. The same concerns the Township are
saying are reasons to turn the Hunder pit down were deemed acceptable
impacts for Kuntz (Jigs Hollow) including Recycling. The Winterbourne valley
will be ruined with the pit, 9.5 meter berms along Peel Street etc. Council
and staff sold us down the river with Jigs Hollow all eyes need to be on
this meeting.

I think we all need to ask why the Township is meeting with Capital? The
Township demonstrated a lack of transparency in the past!

Should capital not address open council?

According to the by-laws and the letter sent to Capital there is no reason
for a meeting. Capital can walk away or re-apply  period !

On a different but related issue I remember reading a report Environmental
Defense did on a break down of contributions the Ontario Sand & Gravel made
to campaigns in the Provincial election and the ridings that supported green
environmental practises got very little. Does anyone have that report?

Jigs hollow is going to OMB, and Capital Paving has requested and been
granted a meeting with the township... it ain't over yet folks
