JANUARY
15 If you are interested in knowing more about the implementation of Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, this information session is for you. It will introduce you to proposed new exemptions posted on the Environmental Registry (EBR# 011-7696), and will provide a forum to exchange information, ask questions and share ideas about potential responses.
The session will include an informative presentation and Q & A with panelists Anne Bell (Ontario Nature), Kim Barrett (Conservation Halton) and Justin Duncan (Ecojustice).
Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007, is landmark legislation that protects Species at Risk and their habitat, and promotes recovery and stewardship. The current proposal on the Environmental Registry is part of the Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources transformation exercise through which it is modernizing approvals in response to direction provided in the 2012 budget. These changes are proposed as regulatory amendments.
This information session is hosted by Carolinian Canada Coalition and Ontario Nature.
Registration and attendance are free and easy. Click the registration button below and after you register you will immediately be emailed instructions for connecting to the webinar.
