[All] Strasburg Road: time to request Part II order

Hello everyone

Notice of Completion of the EA for Strasburg Road Extension has been issued. Now is the time to invoke a Part II order requests which must be received by the Minister by January 22, 2014. 

Info on the approval is in the attachment. A Part II order can be used to bump up an EA process to a higher review process, it could be used to request the cancellation of a project or to facilitate a mediation process.

This project has a number of ecological constraints including: Potential impacts for rare species such as Queen Snake, Blandings, Impacts to fisheries, old growth forests, recharge areas and heritage farmlands. Related news articles here;
