[All] Regional council presentation

Thanks   Greg ....   you're right....  that this IS  encouraging.....Let's
keep  up the good fight.!   Ginny         I had written a letter (email)  to
John Milloy  and then changed it to  a' thank you letter'  while still
sending    the  original letter   forward  ...I've dealt with John in the
past re the West Side lands and  am so happy to have him 'actively'
supporting his community (riding) . GQ

I presented a motion of support for the Region vs the OMB at Regional
council this evening. I  then mentioned GREN's letter of support , from
which I also read some selected sentences.  I also mentioned that
Environmental Defence had issued a strong statement of support this
afternoon.   

 

Ken Seiling replied that he had had a meeting with Municipal Affairs
officials who mentioned that they had received an "extraordinary" number of
individually crafted and very well informed letters, not just from the
Region, but from many other parts of Ontario.  

 

This is encouraging!
