MacGregor Senior Public School is holding a rain barrel sale (see the announcement, below).

Note that the Region of Waterloo is no longer selling rain barrels, as they have for many years, so if you need a rain barrel, this is your chance!

MacGregor is hosting the sale at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, which is the ONLY WATERLOO LOCATION that is part of a larger Rain Barrel Blitz event.

Rain Barrel Fundraising Sale

Saturday, April 27, 2013 (10 a.m. to noon)

** part of REEP Green Solutions’s RAIN barrel Blitz project www.reepgreen.ca/rain **

Barrels will be available Saturday, April 27 (10 a.m. to noon) at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

What can you do with these barrels?

  a.. get a great recycled rain barrel for your home and garden; 
  b.. capture rain and save on water bills; 
  c.. feed your plants rain water instead of chlorine and fluoride; 
  d.. take better care of the environment AND sewer systems; 
  e.. support MacGregor public school’s programs 

Each 180 – 220 L (45 – 55 gallon) rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that permits multiple barrels to be connected in series, 1.2m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose.
The price is only $50 per barrel.
