[All] Public comment on EBR needed re: Dufferin Quarry Pit

Hi folks

Brant County's Below Table Dufferin Quarry is now applying for their water taking permit and the MNR are now allowing for public comments on this project. Here's the latest info in their local media:

This pit was approved 35 years ago but has not broken ground yet. There are rare species in the area however the MNR has NOT secured any updated EIS info since the permit was issued 35 years ago. We need to make sure studies are done for Blandings, Spotted turtles, Jeffersons etc.  The Hydrology is insufficient too. Using current legislation this project would have never been approved.
