[All] Nuclear Incident in Peterborough: Tritium released at high rates; Grave Concern

Hi everyone

A company called Shield Source in Peterborough creates exit signs that have radioactive components. This company has been releasing Tritium at twice the max release limits allowed by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission says Joe Castrilli, legal council at CELA. 

In years 2010 & 2011 the tritium levels they released were 5 to 9 times higher than the levels reported. 

Dr. Rosana Pellizzari states this is a "grave health concern" and that "We have a small industry in Peterborough emitting more than a major nuclear industry".
