Lulu and Susan,

Very nice work ladies!! Creative lyrics Susan!!

Your gentle yet powerful activism reminds me of the stamina, persistence and
courage necessary during the peace movement of the 1960's. The image of a
long-stemmed daisy being inserted into the end of a soldier's riffle muzzle
comes to mind.

Now... I'm imagining Monsanto bent over, their back-side facing a
long-stemmed daisy. That would be 'organic'.

Well done... and thanks to you both.

Cheers,

Robert J. Fleming

Hi GRENers,

I thought I’d share the lyrics. I hadn’t planned on going to this protest,
but I woke up yesterday as a Raging Granny with this song forming in my
head. Sorry I missed last night’s meeting because we had a meet the teacher
for our youngest, so I hope it went well. I think you can figure out the
tune this one. 8-)

Old Monsanto had a Farm

GMGMO

And on this farm they grew alfalfa

GMGMO

With some Roundup here and some Roundup there

Here a Round there an Up, everywhere was Roundup

Old Monsanto had a Farm

GMGMO

And on this farm the bees did come

Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz

And from this farm they spread out far

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz

They pollinated here and they pollinated there

Pollinate, pollinate, spread the pollen everywhere

Old Monsanto had a farm

GMGMO

And when Monsanto found that pollen

GMGMO

They got their lawyers and sued those farms

Shame, shame, shame, shame, shame!

We need to stop them here, stop them now

Protect our food, protect our farmers, protect their livelihood

Old Monsanto had a farm

Boo hoo, boo hoo hoo
