that might be 9.1 litres per second by the sounds of it- omgosh - nuclear is so expensive and is throwing good money after bad- the cost of all that water could make a lot of solar networks ofrwind turbines. Why can't all the brilliant minds in the world come up with better, cheaper ways to create energy other than ones that can annihilate their surrounding areas/create such harm. Lori

Subject: [All] Environmental Bill of Rights asking for public comments

  Hi everyone

Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) allows for public comments on environmental issues in Ontario. We have some major ones happening right now I wanted to give you the heads up incase you want to give comment.

Right now, there is an EBR request to take 13 BILLION litres of water a day, 9.1 million litres per minute from Lake Ontario for 10 years to provide water for Ontario Nuclear Power generation. The application is online and they want public comment. Here's the link:
  http://www.ebr.gov.on.ca/ERS-WEB-External/displaynoticecontent.do?noticeId=MTE2NDg3&statusId=MTc0NDAx&language=en

The EBR is requesting public comment as they form a new Great Lakes Protection Act. If you have any ideas on how to improve great lakes quality from source to lake share the ideas here:
  http://www.ebr.gov.on.ca/ERS-WEB-External/displaynoticecontent.do?noticeId=MTE2NjU2&statusId=MTc0NjMw&language=en
