Ontario loosing it's farmland land to development
Ontario, the province with the biggest agricultural output now just 5.6% of Ontario’s land base due to development. Canada is expected to be one of only six countries in the world to be a net exporter of food as global population reaches 9 billion .Farmlands lost: “It’s subdivisions, it’s shopping malls, it’s roads,” said Mark Wales, president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
