[All] Want CBC Radio in Waterloo Region? Write your MP!

Hi folks

I met with Ian Morrison today at the Waterloo Inn. He stated a new poll shows 68% support for establishing a new CBC radio station in Waterloo Region. A press release is currently online and will be printed in the Record tomorrow.  Here is a sneek peek:

The radio station if established, would feature a mix of existing CBC shows plus regionally based news and current events covering all sorts of topics from cultural, entertainment, music, environmental, political issues, etc. Coverage would include events happening from here to Guelph.

Locally speaking, CTV news and the KW Record are both members of the Waterloo Regional Home Builders Association whereas the CBC is publicly funded and can feature a broader scope of issues without conflict of interests. It's a great resource to have!


If you would like to show support for CBC radio to set up in Waterloo Region, please call or write your federal MP. The more folks who do this the better. Spread the word!
