Support Growing Ontario’s Greenbelt!  Make Your Voice Heard at Public Consultations This Month

Last month Ontario announced the first expansion of the Greenbelt - the addition of Oakville’s Glenorchy Conservation Area. The Government also announced a new designation offering protection to urban river valleys.

The changes are the result of concerned citizens and members of the Ontario Greenbelt Alliance working to enhance and protect Ontario’s Greenbelt. The announcements are welcome news for communities and municipalities, such as Toronto, Mississauga and Guelph who have expressed interest in adding urban river valley lands to the existing Greenbelt.

How You Can Show Your Support for Growing the Greenbelt:

Attend a Public Consultation:
At one of the public consultations listed below, tell the Province you support both the addition of Glenorchy Conservation Area to Greenbelt, and the new urban river valley protections.
Toronto: December 11, 2012 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
