Hi folks

I have an event booked for May 5th taking place at the First United Church Waterloo at 16 William St. from 1:30-4:00 called "Connecting the Dots Waterloo". It is part of an international day of Climate Change Action being promoted  by 350.org Our local event is focused on Climate Change and ways citizens in our community can adapt. We'll have displays on house hold things people can do to secure a more resilient community and we can inform people on emergency preparedness, pet care, related public health issues etc. We're also showcasing sustainability initiatives happening in our community.

I was thinking it would be a great venue to showcase GREN's work on the Lake Erie Pipeline topic: Can sustainability circumvent the need for the pipe?

If GREN is interested in setting up a display or speaking at the event, just drop me an email and we can reserve a spot. No costs at all. This is purely an informational community based event put together by community volunteers in partnership with the folks from the First United Church.

Also, if anyone has contact with folks involved in Xeriscaping or Community Gardens, get intouch. I'd love to have these folks represented at the event as well.

Thanks!
