[All] Oct. 3rd: Stand up for Renewable Energy event

The uWaterloo Sustainability Project (UWSP) and Sustainable Technology Education Project (STEP) are hosting a talk on renewable energy this coming Monday on campus titled Stand Up for Renewable Energy! This event is taking place:
Monday October 3rd, 1:30 - 3pm in the Green Room (Ev2 2002)
Speaking at this forum will be Professor Stephen Murphy, Chair of the Environment and Resource Studies Department, Christina Hoicka, PhD candidate in Geography and Environmental Management, Sarah Simmons, uWaterloo alumnus and Government Affairs Manager at SunEdison, and Shane Mulligan, uWaterloo alumnus and President of Community Renewable Energy Waterloo. The discussion will focus on the integration of renewables into our consumer lifestyles and how we might support the transition through public advocacy.
Come mingle with our experts and other sustainability enthusiasts, and learn about how you can get involved with the issues especially with the Ontario elections coming up on Oct. 6th. What's more, this is a great chance to check out the cool initiatives UWSP and STEP are undertaking this year with YOUR energy future in mind!
