                              Dear Lori,

Hope your summer has gone well. Momentum is already building up for the fall and there are exciting things happening that CREW wants you to be aware of.

FIRST: CREW has planned another CREW GREEN Movie Night in collaboration with The Princess Twin Cinemas in Waterloo. We are hoping to brand this popular event as a regular, need to attend, best of the GREEN movies, night out for the community.

Thursday, September 22 is next with the blockbuster 2011 documentary you may have heard of named THE LAST MOUNTAIN. The final two dates for this fall are Thursdays, October 27 and November 24, and we are working on getting these from our growing list: REVENGE OF THE ELECTRIC CAR; CLIMATE REFUGEES; A MILLION ACTS OF GREEN; FORCE OF NATURE: THE DAVID SUZUKI MOVIE; as well as ENERGY AUTONOMY - THE CODE OF SURVIVAL. If you have additional suggestions, please e-mail us and we will consider your recommendation do our best to line it up for a future date.

SECOND: CREW Solar, in collaboration with Mennonite Central Committee Ontario (MCCO) and Greening Sacred Spaces, has been successful in getting a SOLAR CITY

GRANT from the City of Kitchener's Local Environmental Action Fund (LEAF) to provide an incentive to faith communities and faith-related schools in the City of Kitchener who are interested in installing solar PV systems on their roof. The incentive includes: education for the faith community on conservation and renewable energy, and a GRANT covering the first kw of panels and the inverter (worth approximately $10,000) for the system (minimum 3kw) if the faith community decides to proceed with a PV installation. If your faith community has any interest, please indicate this interest by e-mailing solar at crewzone.ca

immediately to get into the lineup - first come first served. There is no financial obligation to sign up and to go through the process. A free feasibility study will determine viability and payback period that will help the community come to some decision.

Please help us spread the word on these two items and the LIFE/OSEA event as announced below - TONIGHT.

We have deliberately limited this e-news to these two important CREW announcements and LIFE/OSEA event this evening.
