LOCAL RENEWABLE ENERGY OPPORTUNITIES - hosted by CREW/LIFE - Kitchener City Hall, Conestoga Room, Monday, November 28, 2011, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Have you ever thought of owning part of a wind farm, or a local solar facility? CREW and LIFE Co-op are part of a growing number of community-owned power initiatives emerging across Ontario that can offer a sound opportunity for both individual investment and community building. These projects also face unique challenges, including the need to engage community members as participants, supporters, and investors. This meeting will focus on the opportunities offered by two local initiatives: members of Local Initiative for Future Energy (LIFE) Co-op will discuss the St Agatha Wind Project, a single 2MW turbine that may be up as early as 2013; and CREW's President will outline the upcoming Solar City Co-op initiative, which aims to install solar projects on large Regional rooftops.

We hope that we will see you THIS THURSDAY evening, November 24, for our CREW GREEN Movie night. Again, please help us spread the word.
