[All] FW: Please sign/devastating dam plan in Amazon/Brazil

Dear friend,

I've just signed a petition opposing the Belo Monte dam in Brazil.

The government is pushing forward the hugely destructive Belo Monte  
Dam Complex over the objections of environmental experts, indigenous  
tribes, and citizens everywhere. Protect the Amazon, its people, and  
its species -- sign the petition to President Dilma opposing the dam  
and calling for energy efficiency instead:

As you can see from the attached picture of Chief Raoni receiving the  
news, this project will decimate the indigenous peoples of that area.

Please take a moment to do what you can.  In the words of Huda Siksek,  
let the tears of Chief Raoni mobilize our hearts into action.
