I just got an email from the Ministry of Infrastructure regarding a public workshop with the Ministry of Infrastructure that will take place in Barrie. They are calling for public input re: plans of growth for the Greater Golden Horseshoe in the Simcoe Area, Barrie and Orillia including communities such as Tiny Township (Site 41). As you may know, the Minister of 
Infrastructure released Proposed Amendment 1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 
2006 on October 28, 2010. Proposed Amendment 1 provides 
specific direction as it applies to the
 County of
 Simcoe and the cities of
 Barrie and
 Orillia on the objectives, policies and targets 
of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 
2006. 
  
As part of the Ministry’s consultation 
on Proposed Amendment 1, we have scheduled another technical briefing for 
interested parties to hear a presentation on the Proposed Amendment and ask 
questions. The format and presentation will be the same as previous technical 
briefings held in November. The presentation is also available on the Places to 
Grow web site. 
  
If you have not had a chance to attend a 
previous technical briefing on the Proposed Amendment, you are invited to attend
