[All] ECO report: 10 years of policy recommendations

Hi everyone

The Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Gord Miller has complied the last 10 years worth of recommendations into one single 61 page PDF report that can be downloaded from the following website here:

This report was focused on revising policy for the Provincial Policy Statement  but with municipal strategic plans in the works for the City of Waterloo etc. one can glean excellent recommendations that can be applied at the local municipal level as well. This report is chock full of them.  It touches upon so many issues that are highly relevant to our area including moraine protection, aggregate issues, the need to protect farmlands, the need to establish better monitoring, the need to protect forested areas from development and highways etc. 

Create a list of the policies you would like to support and be sure to email them to your Ward rep. for consideration.
