Republicans in the U.S House of Representatives on Tuesday rejected Senate-passed legislation that would have forced the Obama administration to make a speedier decision on the Keystone XL oilsands pipeline, creating even more uncertainty over when a final ruling will be made on the controversial project.
In a 229-193 vote, the GOP-controlled House blocked a Senate tax-relief bill that included a provision requiring a ruling on the $7-billion pipeline within 60 days.

The delay may cost Trans Canada 1 billion dollars.
